Payment Options
I offer private pay therapy, sliding scale, insurance-based therapy through Shelterwood Collective (Premera & LifeWise), as well as out-of-network options with superbills that clients may submit to their insurance for possible reimbursement. During your free consultation, we can explore which option may be the best fit for your needs and preferences.
A credit card on file is required for all clients, including those using insurance, to cover copays, deductibles, and any applicable fees.
Private Pay
Private pay sessions are paid directly out of pocket. Private pay therapy allows our collaboration to center on your needs, preferences, and flexibility. We will be able to focus on holding space for what matters most to you rather than insurance requirements that can sometimes feel limiting.
Sliding Scale
A limited number of sliding scale spots are available to support accessibility ranging from $50-100. Please inquire to determine eligibility. OPEN SLOTS AVAILABLE! Updated 3/31/2026
Insurance
If you plan to use Premera or LifeWise in Washington State, verify your benefits before scheduling or attending your first session.
Steps to check your coverage:
Look at your insurance card and find the member services phone number on the back.
Call the number and ask about your outpatient mental health therapy benefits.
Ask the representative:
Is outpatient mental health therapy covered under my plan?
What is my copay, coinsurance, or deductible for therapy sessions?
Is the billing provider, Shelterwood Collective, PLLC (TIN #47-4860247 / NPI-2 #1538663604), considered in network with my plan?
Please note that it is the client’s responsibility to verify their insurance benefits and network status.
Insurance benefits vary by plan, and verification does not guarantee payment.
Out-of-Network & Superbills
If your insurance plan is out of network, you may still be able to receive partial reimbursement depending on your plan’s benefits.
After each session, I can provide a superbill, which is a receipt that includes the information your insurance company typically requires to review for reimbursement. Clients can submit the superbill directly to their insurance provider to request reimbursement. Any reimbursement is determined by your insurance company and is not guaranteed.
Clients are responsible for paying the full session fee at the time of service, regardless of reimbursement eligibility.
No Surprises Act
As of January 1, 2022, the No Surprises Act ensures that all clients have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for therapy services.
Good Faith Estimate
Under the No Surprises Act, healthcare providers are required to provide a Good Faith Estimate of expected charges for clients who are uninsured or choosing to pay privately. This estimate outlines the typical costs of services at Chrysalis Within Therapy, PLLC. The total cost of care will depend on your individual needs, goals, and the number of sessions scheduled.
